Oz Creek Cattery is a small cattery located in central Kansas on the banks of my very own Oz Creek. I breed and show  CFA
British Short hair and CFA Selkirk Rex cats. My goal is to breed kittens that are healthy, true to breed standards, and
wonderful companions for their owners. I strive for quality, not quantity. Kittens are given a lot of attention from birth. The first
seven weeks of a kittens life it is very important to spend time with them as this is the most important period for socialization of
a kitten. I love my cats and want my cattery to be a safe place where they thrive and feel comfortable with people and each
other. My cattery is FELV, FIV, and PKD negative.

British Short hair cats are the oldest breed in Great Britain. They have short, plush coats, big round eyes, are compact, well
balanced and powerful. They are medium to large in size and slow to mature, taking up to 3, or even 5 years to attain mature
size. They have more hair per square inch than any other cat. The kittens look like little Teddy Bears. They are wonderful
companions. Blue is the most popular color, but in CFA they come in all colors except pointed. My Brits are blue, cream
tabby, calico, silver spotted, and blue cream.

Selkirk Rex is a fairly recent breed started in the 1990's in Montana. They come in all colors and can be short or long haired.
They are distinguished by their plush, curly hair. In Selkirks the curly gene is dominant, so a kitten can be straight or curly
haired. Selkirks are playful, curious, and loving companions. The Selkirk is large, heavy boned, and resembles the British
Short hair in conformation. At this time the Selkirk can be bred to either Persian, Exotic, or British Short hair to enlarge the
gene pool. I have used Brits with my Selkirk females to improve their coat and their features. My Selkirks are Brown Patched
Tabby, Tortie-Smoke, Tortie point, and Black Smoke.

I have kittens available from time to time. Kittens are for pets, and occasional show or breeding. It is wise to place a deposit
on a kitten you like to avoid losing it to someone else. I will ship your kitten, possibly meet you part way, or you are welcome
to come get your kitten and see my cattery.
